The fields applied to hazardous waste treatment include, but are not limited to:

  • Incineration ash (slag, fly ash)
  • Construction waste (such as asbestos waste)
  • Chemical waste (such as organic waste)
  • Waste generated from aluminum production (such as waste tank lining)
  • Petrochemical waste (such as oily sludge)

Tetronics' extensive experience in plasma technology applications has earned it an enviable international reputation.

FICHTNER

lime-ash

Tetronics' hazardous waste treatment technology can provide almost zero waste discharge treatment results, especially for fly ash, which has great commercial advantages. This technology can separate and destroy harmful components (such as dioxins and furans) in fly ash, ultimately leaving a safe, harmless, and reusable glass body.

Tetronics' plasma technology uses ultra-high temperature and ultraviolet radiation to destroy harmful organic compounds (such as dioxins and furans) in incineration fly ash, with a removal rate typically reaching 99.9999%. The residual vitrification product after treatment is a stable inert material, ionic rock, which can be reused as a building material product. If possible, Tetronics can further extract more valuable substances from garbage waste. For example, when treating incineration fly ash, it is possible to extract chlorine from it to produce hydrochloric acid, which can be reused as an acid cleaner, thereby maximizing the value of garbage recycling.

If you need to know how we can solve your fly ash handling problem, please contact us.

Tetronics' plasma technology is an important guarantee for achieving zero waste industrialization and is currently the most effective and flexible recycling system for dealing with fly ash residues.

Asbestos waste

After years of practical verification, Tetronics' plasma system can provide mature solutions for handling various harmful waste materials, including asbestos materials and refractory ceramic fibers. Our patented plasma technology utilizes ultra-high temperature melting of all asbestos fibers in waste and forms a reusable product, Plasmarok ®, This product can be widely used in the construction field, thereby discovering the maximum value in customer waste

Asbestos materials and refractory ceramic fibers are both toxic materials that can cause serious diseases in the human body after inhalation, including lung cancer and asbestosis (a type of pneumoconiosis). Since the 1980s, the use of asbestos has been explicitly prohibited by laws in many countries. Unfortunately, due to the widespread use of asbestos products in the construction and manufacturing industries in the 20th century, it has now become a widespread and serious problem. In addition, due to the presence of asbestos products in the form of raw materials and adhesive products, which have strong heat and chemical resistance, the disposal of such toxic materials has become extremely difficult and challenging

And Tetronics' technological process is unique, which can completely melt the asbestos fibers in the material, permanently damaging the harmful substances in the waste, making us no longer faced with the helpless choice of packaging and storing hazardous waste for future generations to handle

Organic waste

Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)

Tetronics' plasma systems have been successfully operating in the world's most challenging industrial environments for decades and are suitable for various waste treatments, including various persistent organic pollutants such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), insecticides (DDTs), dioxins, and furans

Persistent organic pollutants refer to toxic chemical agents that can have adverse effects on human health and the global environment. They have carcinogenic effects on mammals, can persist in the environment for a long time, and are transmitted between different species through the food chain. Many of these organic compounds are currently or have been used as insecticides. More other organic compounds are widely used in industrial processes to manufacture various products such as solvents, polyvinyl chloride, and pharmaceuticals

The clean plasma technology developed by Tetronics uses ultra-high temperature heat sources and ultraviolet radiation to destroy and eliminate harmful components in chemical waste, ultimately leaving behind a safe, harmless, and reusable building material product, Plasmarok ®。 This process has excellent environmental protection and commercial guarantees, achieving a destructive removal rate of up to 99.9999%

If you need to know how we can solve your persistent organic pollutant treatment problem, please contact us.

Waste tank lining

Aluminum production waste

Tetronics has half a century of experience in plasma arc application, including successful cooperation with the world's largest aluminum manufacturing enterprise, and has extensive knowledge and skills in how to use plasma arc to treat waste tank lining.

Tetronics provides safe and long-lasting methods for treating waste tank linings, solving a long-standing challenge for the global primary aluminum manufacturing industry. Plasma treatment technology not only can withstand various fluorine containing chemical environments, but also can transform the waste tank lining into stable, safe and harmless vitrified materials for further treatment in one step.

If you need to know how we can solve the problem of treating your waste tank lining, please contact us.

Tetronics has extensive experience in garbage treatment, and its plasma technology has performed exceptionally well in the treatment of hazardous waste such as waste tank liners. Therefore, we consider Tetronics as a natural technology partner.

nuclear waste

radioactive material

The nuclear industry has produced some of the most intractable waste in the world today. The usual practice is to store nuclear waste underwater for 3-5 years, wait for its radioactivity to decay to a certain level, and then seal it with cement in a special container, which can then be permanently stored. The huge cost of regulating, packaging and storing nuclear waste is a major challenge for the nuclear industry.

Tetronics' solution to these challenges is to use plasma vitrification technology to reduce the volume of radioactive waste while significantly improving its stability, facilitating transitional storage and final geological disposal steps. The ultimate goal of this technology is to reduce the total cost of nuclear waste management. Evaluation shows that using plasma vitrification technology to stabilize nuclear waste can save billions of dollars in processing costs globally.

If you need to know how we can solve your nuclear waste disposal problem, please contact us.

We hope to collaborate with Tetronics to develop plasma technology suitable for nuclear material processing, in order to assist the UK in reducing nuclear waste management costs.

Petrochemical waste

Tetronics' innovative plasma technology can solve the increasing waste management challenges in the petrochemical industry, including hazardous waste that is difficult to recover through chemical methods. Typical examples of petrochemical waste include:

  • Oily sludge generated during oil tank cleaning process
  • Hazardous waste contaminated with heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants such as polychlorinated biphenyls and hexachlorobenzene

Traditionally, the oil and gas industry mainly relies on high-temperature incineration and landfill to treat its harmful waste. However, with increasingly strict regulatory requirements, increasing landfill costs, and increasing pressure for companies to fulfill their social responsibilities, many companies have had to seek more environmentally friendly methods to treat these difficult to treat waste

Tetronics' plasma technology can solve all the aforementioned challenges, not only bringing more significant commercial benefits than existing waste management methods, but also effectively reducing landfill pressure, saving and protecting natural resources. Plasma technology can effectively treat contaminated materials, remove pollutants from them, and convert other materials into safe, harmless, stable, and applicable products in the construction field, thereby achieving sustainable circulation

Biochemical waste

Tetronics' plasma technology is an ideal solution for destroying biological warfare agents and their precursor materials, not only because it can be applied to various types of waste, but more importantly, it can convert these extremely harmful waste into stable vitrified materials

In 1997, the Chemical Weapons Convention, aimed at achieving arms control, came into effect, declaring a comprehensive ban on the development, production, purchase, stockpiling, transfer, and use of chemical weapons and their precursor materials. Each member state that has joined this convention has an obligation to prohibit the use and production of chemical weapons, while also ensuring the completion of the destruction of such weapons. Therefore, finding safe and effective solutions for the destruction of biochemical agents is a major challenge faced by member states

Tetronics' plasma technology provides a mobile destruction system that can completely solidify and destroy biological warfare agents and their precursor materials, with superior ecological performance and a destruction removal rate of up to 99.9999%
